Turkey’s consumer confidence index edged down to 85 in March 2026, from an eleven-month high of 85.7 in the previous month.

This remained below the 100 threshold, indicating that consumer sentiment continues to reflect a pessimistic outlook.

Expectations for households’ financial situation over the next twelve months fell to 85.6 from 86.8 in February.

Similarly, expectations for the general economic outlook over the same period declined to 79.1 from 81.4.

Intentions to spend on durable goods also weakened, slipping to 102.7 from 103.2.

Meanwhile, assessments of current household financial conditions improved, rising to 72.8 in March from 71.3 in the prior month.
