Industrial production in Taiwan increased by 15.48% year-on-year in September 2025, accelerating from a downwardly revised 13.67% increase in August.
This growth was primarily driven by a rise in manufacturing output (16.9% vs 14.81% in August) and a softer decline in mining and quarrying (-6.46% vs -10.94%).
Conversely, production continued to fall in electricity and gas supply (-9.99% vs -6.79%) and water supply (-2.29% vs -2.25%).
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial output fell by 0.12% in September, following a revised flat reading in the previous month.
