Taiwan’s foreign exchange reserves rose to a record USD 598.43 billion in June from USD 592.95 billion in the previous month.
The increase was driven by returns from foreign exchange reserves management and exchange rate movements of other reserve currencies against the USD.
Additionally, the central bank stepped in to smooth out volatile capital flows to maintain an orderly foreign exchange market.
For comparison, reserves stood at USD 573.3 billion in June 2024.
