Sweden Industrial Output Growth Slows in March

Industrial production in Sweden rose 3% year-on-year in March 2026, easing from a downwardly revised 6.2% in the previous month.
Manufacturing output slowed to 3.5% from 6.4% in the prior month, weighed down by weaker gains in textiles, clothing and leather industries (3% vs 6.3% in February), and transport equipment (0.1% vs 19.5%), as well as declines in electrical equipment (-5.3% vs 0.6%), machinery and equipment (-1.4% vs 5.2%), and motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (-1.9% vs 18.9%).
Meanwhile, mining and quarrying output fell 6.8%, reversing a 6.1% rise in the previous month.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production dropped 2%, down from a downwardly revised 3.8% growth in the prior period.
