Sweden's household confidence indicator climbed to 97.1 in July 2026 from an upwardly revised 94.2 in the previous month.

While the latest reading marked the highest level since January 2025, consumer sentiment remained somewhat subdued relative to normal levels, primarily weighed down by weaker expectations for personal finances over the next twelve months and a subdued willingness to make major purchases.

Households also continued to regard buying a car within the coming year as highly unlikely.

Meanwhile, the survey's remaining components were broadly in line with their long-term averages.
