Spain Tourist Arrivals Continue to Rise

Spain received 9.746 million international tourists in June 2026, up 2.9% yoy and marking a new record for the month.
The UK remained the largest source market, with nearly 2.3 million visitors, an increase of 6.8%.
By contrast, arrivals from Germany fell 5.9% to 1.2 million, while those from France declined 1.7% to 1.0 million.
The number of tourists choosing market-based accommodation as their primary lodging option edged down 0.6%.
Within this category, hotel stays decreased 1.7%, while demand for rental accommodation rose 10.1%.
Meanwhile, the use of non-market accommodation, including stays with friends or relatives and in privately owned properties, jumped 26.8%.
In the first half of 2026, Spain received around 46.6 million international tourists, up 4.6% from the same period a year earlier.
The UK remained the largest source market, with more than 9.3 million visitors (+4.3%), followed by Germany with 5.7 million (-1.1%) and France with more than 5.6 million (+1.0%).
