Spain Current Account Surplus Narrows in June

Spain's current account surplus narrowed to EUR 2.41 billion in June 2026 from EUR 5.33 billion in the same month last year.

The goods and services surplus fell to EUR 3.28 billion from EUR 6.17 billion.

Meanwhile, tourism revenues widened to EUR 10.45 billion from EUR 10.08 billion.

The primary and secondary income deficit widened to EUR 0.86 billion from EUR 0.84 billion.

Spain's current account surplus narrowed to EUR 1.84 billion in May 2026 from EUR 6.37 billion in the same month last year. The goods and services surplus fell to EUR 5.74 billion from EUR 8.42 billion. Tourism revenues, however, rose to EUR 7.6 million from EUR 6.9 billion a year earlier. Also, the primary and secondary income deficit widened to EUR 3.90 billion from EUR 2.05 billion.

Spain's current account surplus narrowed to EUR 1.88 billion in April 2026, from EUR 2.46 billion in the same month last year. The primary and secondary income deficit widened to EUR 5 billion from EUR 3.80 billion. On the other hand, the balance of goods and services recorded a EUR 6.89 billion surplus, rising 10.1% from EUR 6.25 billion a year earlier. Within this category, tourism revenues were EUR 9.27 million, an increase from EUR 8.52 million a year earlier.
