Poland Industrial Output at 9-Month Low

Poland’s industrial output fell by 1.1% year-on-year in November 2025, falling short of market expectations of a 2.7% increase and reversing from an upwardly revised 3.3% gain in the previous month.

This marked the first contraction in industrial activity since June and the lowest reading since February, as growth eased for water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation services (3.2% vs 5.9%).

At the same time, output declined in manufacturing (-1.4% vs 3.3% in October) and electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning (-2.1% vs 1.2%).

In contrast, activity increased for mining and quarrying (4.8% vs 4%).

On a monthly basis, industrial output slumped by 9.3% in November, easing sharply from an upwardly revised 5.5% rise in the preceding period.

Poland’s industrial output surged by 7.3% year-on-year in December 2025, rebounding from a 1.1% fall in the previous month, and surpassing market expectations of a 2.9% gain. Output recovered in the manufacturing sector (7.8% vs -1.4% in November), while activity increased in mining and quarrying (8.7% vs 4.5%) and water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation services (11.3% vs 3.4%). At the same time, deceleration softened for electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning (-2.1% vs -2.7%). On a monthly basis, industrial output fell by 0.1% in December, easing from a -9.3% decline in the preceding period.

Poland Industrial Output Rises More than Expected
Poland’s industrial output rose by 3.2% year-on-year in October 2025, surpassing market expectations of a 2.5% increase but marking a sharp slowdown from an upwardly revised 7.6% rise in the previous month. Growth eased notably in manufacturing (3.2% vs 8.4% in September) and in water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation services (5.5% vs 6.5%). Meanwhile, output rebounded for mining and quarrying (3.9% vs -1.9%) and electricity, gas, steam & air conditioning (1.4% vs -0.3%). On a monthly basis, industrial output advanced 5.4% in October, easing from an upwardly revised 16.3% increase in September.
