The general business climate indicator for manufacturing in Poland improved to -5.1 in August 2026 from -5.3 in July, marking the highest reading since May, though it remained below its long-term average of +0.4.

Among sectors, sentiment strengthened in financial and insurance activities (28.0 vs. 27.4 in July), transportation and storage (1.1 vs. -0.2), and construction (-0.1 vs. -0.3).

Meanwhile, confidence weakened in accommodation and food service activities (7.0 vs. 21.2) and retail trade (0.9 vs. 1.4).

Business conditions were unchanged in wholesale trade (2.6) and information and communication (9.9).

The general business climate indicator for manufacturing in Poland rose to -5.3 in July 2026 from a six-month low of -6.0 in the previous month. Still, the latest figure remained below its long-term average of +0.4. Among sectors, financial insurance (27.4 vs 24.4 in June) recorded the most positive assessment of business conditions, followed by wholesale trade (2.6 vs 1.6) and accommodation and food service (21.2 vs 19.7). Moreover, pessimism eased in construction (-0.3 vs -0.7) and transportation and storage (-0.2 vs -0.6). Meanwhile, confidence deteriorated in retail trade (1.4 vs 1.6) and information and communication (9.9 vs 10.2).

The general business climate indicator for manufacturing in Poland fell to -6.0 in June 2026 from a three-month high of 4.1 in the previous month. It marked the lowest reading since December 2025 and remained below its long-term average of +0.4, highlighting persistent pressure on industrial sentiment. Elsewhere, business confidence weakened in the financial and insurance activities sector (24.4 vs 26.6 in May) and wholesale trade (1.6 vs 3.0), while it turned negative in retail trade (-1.6 vs 0). In contrast, pessimism eased in construction (-0.7 vs -1.3) and transportation and storage (-0.6 vs -1.1). Moreover, confidence improved in accommodation and food service activities (19.7 vs 14.7) and information and communication (10.2 vs 8.1).
