Mexico’s retail sales rose 2.7% year over year in June 2026, accelerating from a 1.6% increase in May.
Growth was led by sales through online channels, printed catalogs, TV and similar platforms (23.2%), followed by household appliances, computers, home décor and second-hand goods (10.3%), healthcare products (9.3%), and textiles, accessories, footwear and clothing (7.0%).
These gains more than offset declines in grocery items, food, beverages, ice and tobacco (-2.2%) and supermarkets and department stores (-2.3%).
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, retail sales fell 0.2%, following a 0.6% decline in May.
