Consumer sentiment in Mexico edged up to 44.4 in April 2026 from an upwardly revised 44.2 in March, pointing to a modest improvement, although consumers remained broadly pessimistic.
Assessments of current economic conditions (29.6 vs. 29.2) and future household prospects (57.8 vs. 56.9) improved slightly, while inflation expectations eased (15.2 vs. 16.0).
Meanwhile, expectations for the broader economy were little changed (45.3 vs. 45.4), and views on the labor market weakened somewhat (46.4 vs. 47.5).
