The number of tourist arrivals in Macau rose by 2.4% year-on-year to 3.542 million in July 2026, rebounding sharply from a 3.1% decline in the previous month. This marked the highest number of arrivals in five months, as same-day visitors increased 6.4% to 2.108 million, while overnight visitors fell 2.9% to 1.434 million. Additionally, the average length of stay shortened by 0.1 day from a year earlier to 1.1 days, while the average stay of overnight visitors remained unchanged at 2.4 days. By source market, arrivals from China increased by 5.4% to 2.701 million, with visitors traveling under the Individual Visit Scheme rising 9.6% to 1.494 million. Arrivals from Taiwan (104,833) and India (10,261) also increased by 13.9% and 66.4%, respectively. In contrast, visitor arrivals from Hong Kong (561,713), the Philippines (32,865), and Indonesia (11,530) declined by 10.2%, 13.3%, and 22.5%, respectively.
