The number of tourist arrivals in Macau fell 3.1% year-on-year to 2.801 million in June 2026, reversing a 3.4% increase in the previous month. This marked the first contraction since February 2025, as overnight visitors dropped 9.0% to 1.164 million, while same-day visitors increased 1.6% to 1.637 million. Additionally, the average length of stay shortened by 0.1 day from a year earlier to 1.1 days, while the average stay of overnight visitors remained unchanged at 2.4 days. By source market, arrivals from China declined 2.3% year-on-year to 1.950 million, although visitors traveling under the Individual Visit Scheme rose 2.6% to 1.054 million. Arrivals from Hong Kong (577,275) and the Philippines (36,686) also fell by 5.9% and 22.0%, respectively. In contrast, visitor arrivals from Taiwan (95,277), Thailand (13,228), and India (12,735) increased by 12.0%, 27.5%, and 6.9%, respectively.
