Luxembourg Unemployment Rate Unchanged at 6.3%

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate stood at 6.3% in April, unchanged from the previous three months.

It remained the highest jobless rate since February 2021, as the number of unemployed persons decreased by 58 month-on-month to 20,265.

Meanwhile, the total employment increased by 407, bringing the total to 301,984, while the active labor force among Luxembourg nationals grew by 348, reaching 322,248.

In terms of cross-border employment, the number of outgoing resident workers expanded by 25 from a month earlier to 15,266.

Additionally, the incoming cross-border workers surged by 599 to 234,855.

In April 2025, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was lower at 5.9%.

In terms of cross-border employment, the number of outgoing resident workers edged down by 1 from a month earlier to 14,045, while the incoming cross-border workers surged by 820 to 234,632. In March 2025, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was lower at 5.9%.
