Latvia Annual Inflation Rate Steady at 3.2%

Latvia's annual inflation rate was unchanged at 3.2% in September 2026, holding steady from August.
Inflation accelerated for transport (12.6% vs 8.6%), housing and utilities (7.3% vs 6.8%), furnishings (1.8% vs 0.5%) and information and communication (1.4% vs 1.1%).
Meanwhile, inflation eased for restaurants and hotels (5.7% vs 7.6%), recreation, sports and culture (5.6% vs 6.5%), health (2.9% vs 4.2%), education (1.8% vs 3.4%) and alcoholic beverages and tobacco (2.3% vs 2.8%), and stood unchanged at 6.8% for insurance and financial services.
Food prices fell 4.8%, a steeper decline than the 4% drop in August, while clothing and footwear prices declined 0.4% after a 0.7% rise.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices edged up 0.2%, following a 0.3% increase in August.
