Ireland Unemployment Rate at 5-Month Low

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in Ireland fell slightly to 4.9% in November 2025, the lowest since June, from 5% in the previous month.
The number of unemployed persons dropped by 2,700 month-on-month to 144,400.
The jobless rate for men edged lower to 4.9% from 5% in October, while the rate for women held steady at 5%.
By age, the unemployment rate for people aged 15–24 remained unchanged at 13.4%, while that for people aged 25-74 inched down to 3.7% from 3.8% in the prior month.
In November 2024, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was lower at 4.2%.
