Ireland Inflation Rate Steady at 3.4%

The annual inflation rate in Ireland rose by 3.4% in July 2026, matching the pace in the previous month.

Prices increased for food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.7% vs 0.6% in June), clothing and footwear (8.5% vs 7.0%), housing and utilities (7.7% vs 7.3%), health (1.8% vs 1.7%), recreation and culture (0.5% vs 0.1%), and miscellaneous goods and services (2.6% vs 1.9%).

At the same time, price growth remained steady for education (at 8.9%), restaurants and hotels (at 3.6%), and information and communication (at 1.4%), while costs rebounded for furnishings and household equipment (0.1% vs -0.1%).

Meanwhile, inflation grew at a softer pace for alcoholic beverages and tobacco (2.5% vs 2.6%), transportation (2.1% vs 4.1%), and insurance and financial services (5.5% vs 5.7%).

On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased by 0.1% in July, easing from a 0.3% growth in the preceding period.

Ireland’s annual inflation rate rose to 4.1% in September 2026 from 3.7% in the previous month, reaching the highest level since January 2024.
