Motorbike sales in Indonesia increased 8.4% year-on-year to 590,362 units in October 2025, after 7.3% growth in September.
This marked the third consecutive month of annual increases, following a 150 bps interest rate cut by the central bank since September 2024.
For the first ten months of 2025, motorbike sales edged up 0.2% compared to the same period in 2024.
On a month-on-month basis, sales rose 4.1% in October, rebounding from a 1.9% decline in September.
In 2024, annual motorbike sales grew 1.5%, reaching 6.3 million units, within the forecast range of 6.2 to 6.5 million units set by the Association of Indonesian Motorcycle Industry (AISI).
For 2025, AISI targets sales between 6.4 and 6.7 million units.
Last month, AISI remained optimistic that it could reach the target by the end of the year.
