Motorbike sales in Indonesia dropped 0.3% year-on-year to 509,326 units in June 2025, following a 0.1% decline in May, amid weak purchasing power caused by layoffs at some companies.
On a monthly basis, motorbike sales rose 0.8% in June, easing sharply from a 24.3% surge in May.
Last year, sales grew 1.5%, reaching 6.3 million units—within the forecast range of 6.2 to 6.5 million units provided by the Association of Indonesian Motorcycle Industry (AISI).
For 2025, AISI expects motorbike sales to reach a target range of 6.4–6.7 million units but may consider revising its annual target if sales pressure persists.
