Indonesia Consumer Morale Eases in September

Indonesia’s consumer confidence index declined to 118.1 in September 2026 from August's three-month high of 118.5.
The decline was largely due to lower assessments of current economic conditions, which fell by 1.9 points to a 12-month low of 107.5.
Meanwhile, perceptions of job availability over the past six months dropped by 3.0 points to 101.1.
At the same time, expectations for business activity decreased by 0.6 points to 121.5.
By contrast, sentiment toward durable goods purchases increased by 0.6 points to 106.7.
Meanwhile, expectations for income over the next six months climbed by 2.0 points to 136.9.
On the other hand, expectations regarding job availability also rose by 2.0 points to 127.7.
