India’s BSE Sensex rose around 0.4% up at 77,852 in morning trade on Tuesday, rebounding from two sessions of sharp losses, after Asian markets rallied and investor sentiment improved following reports that US President Trump said the Middle East war could end soon.
Oil prices also plunged as expectations of easing conflict risks reduced supply concerns, helping lift global market sentiment.
Most sectoral indices posted gains, except for technology, energy minerals, and communication, which recorded modest declines.
Among individual stocks, early gainers included R Systems (+6.7%), Tejas Networks (+4.3%), InterGlobe (+2.9%), Larsen & Toubro (+2.1%), BSE Ltd (+1.6%), and ICICI Bank (+1.4%).
Meanwhile, equity markets may remain volatile as geopolitical risks, rapid movements in crude prices, and shifting foreign capital flows continue to drive uncertainty.
