Finland Producer Prices Rise in May

Producer prices in Finland advanced by 7.4% year-on-year in May 2026 from 4.6% in the previous month.
Costs increased in manufactured products (6.4% vs 4.7% in April), particularly in beverages (4.9% vs 0.4%), wearing apparel (4% vs 2.6%), chemical and chemical products (4.9% vs 0.9%), and rubber and plastic products (5.3% vs 1.1%), while prices rebounded in textiles (1.0% vs. -0.6%) and basic pharmaceutical products (3.4% vs. -4.2%).
In addition, inflation accelerated in mining and quarrying (11.9% vs. 9.3%), electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply (17.9% vs. 1.0%), and water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation services (10.1% vs. 6.6%).
On a monthly basis, producer prices increased 1.3% in May, following a 1.2% rise in the previous month.
