Finland Current Account Surplus Narrows in January

Finland’s current account surplus narrowed to EUR 329 million in January 2025 from EUR 466 million in the same month last year.
The goods surplus declined to EUR 422 million from EUR 518 million, as goods imports increased by 5.0%, outpacing the 3.0% rise in goods exports.
Additionally, the primary income surplus narrowed to EUR 542 million from EUR 599 million, while the secondary income deficit widened sharply to EUR 187 million from EUR 22 million.
Conversely, the services deficit shrank to EUR 448 million from EUR 629 million a year ago.
