Danish Manufacturing Output Drops 5.7% in November

Denmark’s manufacturing production fell 5.7% month-on-month in November 2025, following an upwardly revised 4.0% decline in the previous month.
It marked the second consecutive monthly drop and was mainly driven by a sharp contraction in the pharmaceutical industry (-10.8% vs -11.6% in October).
With a weight of 20.9% in the overall index, this industry group contributed the most to the overall decline.
Production also contracted in transport equipment (-7.5% vs -25.9%), plastic, glass & concrete (-8.5% vs -3.0%), electronic components (-3.4% vs -1.4%), and metal and fabricated metal products (-6.0% vs 21.0%).
On a non-seasonally adjusted year-on-year basis, manufacturing output fell 2.6% in November, reversing an upwardly revised 0.8% rise in October.
