Denmark’s manufacturing production fell 1% month-on-month in December 2025, slowing from an upwardly revised 5.8% drop in the previous month.
This marked the third consecutive month of decline, albeit at a softer pace as output recovered for chemicals and oil refineries (24.2% vs -26.1% in November), basic metals (2% vs -13.1%), electrical equipment (3.3% vs -6.2%), and transport equipment (4.8% vs -0.7%).
At the same time, contraction eased for food, beverages, and tobacco (-1.1% vs -2.5%), paper products and printing (-1.9% vs -2.2%), and pharmaceuticals (-6.2% vs -10.9%).
On the other hand, activity declined for textiles and leather products (-1.9% vs 0.5%), electrical components (-12.1% vs 1.2%), and machinery (-1.2% vs 2%).
On a non-seasonally adjusted year-on-year basis, manufacturing production decreased by 6.7% in December, following a downwardly revised 2.5% drop in the preceding period.
