Denmark’s manufacturing production dropped by 3.5% month-on-month in October 2025, reversing an upwardly revised 8.6% rise in the previous month, which had been the strongest increase since April 2024.
The decline in October was driven by a sharp contraction in the pharmaceutical industry (-11.6% vs 25.9% in September), transport equipment (-25.9% vs 35.3%), plastic, glass & concrete (-3.0% vs 2.3%), and electronic components (-1.4% vs 9.7%).
Conversely, production rebounded strongly in metal and fabricated metal products (21.0% vs -7.6%), while food, beverages, and tobacco recovered slightly (1.1% vs -1.0%).
On a non-seasonally adjusted yearly basis, manufacturing output edged up 0.2% in October, following an upwardly revised 10.7% surge in the preceding period.
