Danish Current Account Surplus Widens in March

Denmark’s seasonally adjusted current account surplus widened to DKK 38.3 billion in March 2026 from an upwardly revised DKK 29.3 billion in the previous month, marking the largest increase since December 2025.
The goods account surplus expanded to DKK 31.9 billion from DKK 26.3 billion, as exports rose more than imports, at 8.1% and 3.7% respectively.
The primary income surplus also increased to DKK 7 billion from DKK 6.7 billion, while the services account rose to DKK 1.9 billion, shifting to a surplus from a deficit of DKK 1.2 billion.
At the same time, the secondary income deficit narrowed to DKK 0.2 billion from DKK 0.3 billion in February.
