Denmark Current Account Surplus Eases to 3-Month Low

Denmark’s seasonally adjusted current account surplus rose to DKK 30.7 billion in May 2026, easing from a downwardly revised DKK 32.5 billion in the previous month.
This marked the smallest surplus in three months, as the goods account surplus narrowed to DKK 24.8 billion from DKK 31.3 billion, weighed down by a 2.4% decline in exports while imports increased 5.7%.
Additionally, the primary income surplus moderated to DKK 4.1 billion from DKK 5.9 billion in April.
Meanwhile, the services account shifted to a DKK 4.1 billion surplus from a DKK 2.1 billion deficit, while the secondary income deficit shrank to DKK 2.2 billion from DKK 2.6 billion.
