Czech Real Wages Rise Above Expectations in Q4

The average monthly wages in the Czech Republic rose 5.1% year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2025, up from 4.5% in the previous quarter and exceeding market expectations of 4.7%.
The average gross monthly nominal wage in the national economy reached CZK 52,283, with a 7.4% increase compared with the same period in 2024.
On a quarterly basis, seasonally adjusted average wages increased by 1.8%.
The highest year-on-year wage gains were recorded in electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply (15.8%), professional, scientific, and technical activities (11.8%), and agriculture, forestry, and fishing (11.5%).
Meanwhile, the lowest increases were seen in other service activities (3.4%) and financial and insurance activities (3.7%).
In 2025, the average wage rose to CZK 49,215 year-on-year, marking an increase of CZK 3,316 (7.2%).
