Czech Republic Industrial Output Rises in October

Industrial production in the Czech Republic rose by 1.1% year-on-year in October 2025, following an upwardly revised 0.8% increase in the previous month.

Output for electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply recovered, rising 2.4% after a sharp 9.2% decline.

At the same time, activity in mining and quarrying fell more moderately, declining 14% compared with 18.5% in September.

In contrast, output growth slowed in the manufacturing sector (1.3% versus 2%).

On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial activity decreased by 0.1% in October, reversing an upwardly revised 1.3% gain in the preceding period.

Czech Republic Industrial Output Eases
Industrial production in the Czech Republic rose by 3.8% year-on-year in December 2025, surpassing market expectations of 3.2% albeit slowing from a more than three-year high of 5.7% in the previous month. Output growth slowed in manufacturing (4.5% vs 6.4% in November), particularly in the manufacture of food products, manufacture of beverages, manufacture of wearing apparel, manufacture of leather and related products, and manufacture of basic metals. Moreover, output tumbled for electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply (-2.6% vs 2.6%). Meanwhile, output in mining and quarrying rebounded notably to 6.3% from a 12.8% decline in November. On a monthly basis, industrial activity slowed sharply to 0.4% in December from 2.4% in the prior month.

Czech Republic Industrial Output Hits Over 3-Year High
Industrial production in the Czech Republic surged 5.7% year-on-year in November 2025, following a 1.1% increase in the previous month and exceeding market forecasts of 2.2% growth. This marked the highest reading since September 2022, as manufacturing output accelerated to an over three-year high of 6.4% from 1.3% in October, while output in the electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply continued to increase (2.6% vs 2.4%). At the same time, activity in mining and quarrying fell more moderately, declining 12.8% compared with 14% in the prior period. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial activity rose to an almost two-year high of 2.4% in November, recovering from a 0.1% decrease in the previous month.
