The consumer confidence indicator in the Czech Republic fell to 108.2 in January 2026 from a downwardly revised 111 in the previous month, marking its lowest level since October.

The share of consumers expecting the overall economic situation to deteriorate over the next twelve months increased, while the proportion of households anticipating an improvement in their financial situation edged up.

At the same time, the number of respondents who assess their current financial situation as worse than a year earlier also rose marginally.

In addition, the consumers who do not plan to make major purchases over the next twelve months also increased.

The consumer confidence indicator in the Czech Republic fell to 111.1 in December 2025 from 111.7 in the previous month. The share of consumers expecting a deterioration in the overall economic situation over the next twelve months prevailed, while the proportion of households anticipating an improvement in their financial situation remained largely unchanged month-on-month. Similarly, the share of respondents who assess their current financial situation as worse than in the previous twelve months stayed the same as in November. Meanwhile, the number of respondents who do not plan to make large purchases over the next twelve months decreased slightly for the second consecutive month.

The consumer confidence indicator in the Czech Republic climbed to 111.7 in November 2025 from 107.4 in the previous month, marking the highest reading since December 2019. Most consumers are expecting an improvement in the overall economic situation in the Czech Republic over the next twelve months and the share of households anticipating an improvement in their financial situation over the coming year also increased. Meanwhile, the share of respondents who assess their current financial situation as worse than a year earlier fell, while the number of people who do not plan to make any major purchases in the next twelve months edged down slightly.
