UK natural gas futures hovered near 80 pence per therm, trading in a tight range as strong supply continues to outpace demand.
The British gas system has recently been running oversupplied by about 25.7 million cubic metres per day, according to National Gas.
Across Europe, storage levels remain close to 83%, which limits competition for LNG cargoes.
Ample LNG arrivals and steady Norwegian pipeline flows keep the market well supplied, while softer Chinese demand has freed up extra volumes for Europe.
Still, temperatures are expected to return to more typical levels toward the end of the week.
At the same time, renewed Russian strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure have raised the risk that Ukraine may rely more heavily on European gas this winter.
