Arabica coffee futures eased to below $3.45 per pound, the lowest since December 19, 2025, on positive expectations for Brazil’s upcoming crop.
Dealers said that estimates for Brazil's 2026/27 crop remain broadly unchanged between 70-80 million bags, with weather conditions generally favorable.
Most recent forecasts indicated more rain for the country's main coffee-growing regions this week.
The 2026/27 crop has benefited from better weather than in previous years, but irregular rains in the Cerrado Mineiro and Mogiana regions remain a concern.
Milder temperatures have supported plant growth, raising hopes for recovery after five consecutive seasons of negative climate impacts.
The upcoming harvest also falls within a “positive biennial cycle,” boosting optimism among growers.
Meanwhile, the Brazilian Coffee Exporters Council (Cecafé) reported Brazilian coffee exports reached a record revenue of $15.6 billion in 2025, even with a 21% drop in export volume compared to prior years.
