Colombia PPI Growth Hits Lowest Since February

Colombia’s Producer Price Index increased 0.76% year-on-year in August 2026, easing from a 1.51% rise in July and marking the weakest annual increase since February.
Agriculture, livestock and fishing was the only sector to record a variation above the overall average, at 6.80%.
Industry rose 0.26%, while mining fell 6.59%, both below the overall 0.76% increase.
The subcategories with the largest positive contributions were pome and stone fruits, which rose 22.07%, potatoes, which increased 129.82%, and citrus fruits, which gained 58.43%.
In contrast, the main negative contributions came from crude petroleum and oils obtained from bituminous minerals, down 5.17%; milled or green coffee, down 19.09%; and coffee, down 18.03%.
On a monthly basis, the PPI fell 0.33% in August.
Year to date, the index increased 2.95%.
