Colombia’s leading economic indicator rose by 1.7% year-on-year in December 2025, following a downwardly revised 2.5% advance in the prior month.
This represents the third straight monthly slowdown, with activity at its weakest level since April 2025.
Growth in services (2.8%) was outweighed by contractions in both primary (-1.1%) and secondary (1%) activities.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, overall economic activity increased by 1.6% in December.
Considering the whole year of 2025, Colombian economic activity expanded by 2.7%, up from 1.6% in the year before.
