Colombia’s exports rose 15.1% year over year to USD 4.46 billion in August 2026, accelerating from a 5.9% increase in July and marking the sharpest growth since May.

The result was mainly driven by a 127% surge in exports from the other sectors group, reflecting higher sales of non-monetary gold.

Exports of fuels and extractive industry products increased 23.8%, led by higher coal, coke and briquette exports (99.4%) and petroleum, petroleum products and related products (12.3%).

Manufacturing exports rose 5.6%, driven by chemicals and related products (18.7%) and miscellaneous manufactured articles (1.9%).

In contrast, exports of agricultural, food and beverage products fell 16%, mainly due to lower exports of unroasted coffee (-23.5%) and coffee extracts, essences and concentrates (-51.4%).
