Colombia’s Consumer Confidence Index fell to 18.2% in January 2026 from 19.1% in December.

The decline was driven by a 7.2 percentage point drop in the Economic Conditions Index to 9.7%, reflecting weaker assessments of current household finances (13.3% vs 18.1%) and lower willingness to purchase durable goods (6.1% vs 14.9%).

This was partly offset by a 1.9 percentage point rise in the Consumer Expectations Index to 23.8%.

Expectations for the national economy improved (17.6% vs 14.2%), as did the general economic outlook (13.8% vs 5.5%), while optimism about future household conditions eased (40.2% vs 46.0%).
