Chile Trade Surplus Widens in October

Chile’s trade surplus widened to $1.45 billion in October 2025 from $1.16 billion a year earlier.
Exports rose 13.6% to $9.43 billion, amid a 53.6% surge in agricultural, forestry, and fishing shipments and a 13.6% increase in mining exports, with copper up 19.2%.
Industrial goods exports edged up 0.1%.
Imports grew 11.8% to $8.58 billion, led by a 30.4% jump in capital goods purchases, while intermediate goods imports rose 6.3% and consumer goods imports 5.3%.
Month-on-month, the trade surplus expanded 55.4%.
