Bulgaria Producer Inflation Slows to 4-Month Low

Producer prices in Bulgaria rose 13.7% year-on-year in July 2026, easing from 17.1% in the previous month and marking the lowest reading since March.
Price growth slowed in mining and quarrying (60.0% vs 63.8% in June), as prices in mining of metal ores edged lower (104.9% vs 105.3%), while other mining and quarrying costs increased (5.5% vs 4.9%).
Moreover, manufacturing inflation ticked down (8.8% vs 8.9%), with softer increases in tobacco products (5.7% vs 6.4%), textiles (3.7% vs 4.5%), chemicals and chemical products (10.3% vs 11.5%), rubber and plastic products (4.7% vs 6.6%), and motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (1.8% vs 3.3%), while prices continued to fall for machinery and equipment (-1.6% vs -1.3%).
Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply costs also slowed sharply to 7.8% from 20.4%.
On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 0.4%, rebounding from a 0.5% decline in June.
