Bosnia and Herzegovina Balance of Trade

Bosnia and Herzegovina suffers from chronically large trade deficits, mostly due to rebuilding efforts after the wars. Manufacturing (90 percent of total exports) largely dominates the flow of exports. Bosnia and Herzegovina mainly exports machinery and transport equipment and chemical products. On the other hand, it mostly imports machinery and transport equipment, fuels, chemical products and food. Germany, Italy, Croatia and Serbia are its main trading partners.
