Contrarily, cost slowed for recreation & culture (1.2 percent from 1.3 percent); alcoholic beverages & tobacco (7.5 percent from 8.1 percent) and health (1.6 percent from 1.7 percent). In addition, prices declined for furniture & household equipment (-0.9 percent from 1 percent) and dropped further for clothing & footwear (-10.7 percent from -10.6 percent). On a monthly basis, consumer prices were flat, after a 0.1 percent gain in May.
