The price of petrol rose to USD 3.34 per liter at the end of February, after the Zimbabwe government raised it by 150 percent on January 13th amid persistent fuel shortages and the country's worst economic crisis in a decade. Also, the price of diesel more than doubled to USD 3.16 per liter. The country's fuel prices are now the highest in the world. Gasoline Prices in Zimbabwe averaged 1.51 USD/Liter from 2017 until 2019, reaching an all time high of 3.34 USD/Liter in February of 2019 and a record low of 1.31 USD/Liter in July of 2017.
