Turkey Retail Sales Growth Picks Up in September

Retail sales in Turkey rose by 14.3% year-on-year in September 2025 from an upwardly revised 13.1% increase in the previous month.
Sales grew at a faster pace for non-food products (18.2% vs 15% in August), particularly computers, books, and telecommunications equipment (33.2% vs 23.3%) and textiles, clothing, and footwear (4.4% vs 3.8%).
Conversely, sales growth eased for food, drinks, and tobacco (8.2% vs 10.5%), while sales of automotive fuel declined (-0.4% vs 1.2%).
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, retail trade increased by 2.2% in September, picking up from an upwardly revised 1.2% rise in August.
