Turkey Trade Deficit Largest in 3 Months

Turkey’s trade deficit widened to USD 6.9 billion in September 2025, from USD 5.2 billion in the same month of the previous year, according to preliminary data from the Trade Ministry.
This marked the largest gap since June, as imports increased by 8.8% year-on-year to USD 29.5 billion, while exports rose at a softer pace of 3% to USD 22.6 billion.
From January to September, exports rose by 4.1% to USD 200.625 billion, while imports grew by 5.9% to USD 267.651 billion, widening the trade gap to USD 67 billion.
