Tajikistan Balance of Trade
Tajikistan is one of the low-income Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) members with the highest degree of trade openness. The country is dependent on the export of aluminium and cotton (around 75 percent of total exports). Tajikistan mostly imports petroleum products and energy, inputs for aluminium production, consumer and capital goods, grain and flour. Tajikistan’s main trading partners are Russia, China, Turkey, Kazakhstan and Iran.
