Switzerland Jobless Rate Steady at 2.9%

Switzerland’s non-seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was unchanged at 2.9% in November 2025, remaining at its highest level since March.
The number of unemployed persons increased by 3.6 thousand from a month earlier to 138.9 thousand, the highest in four and a half years.
Meanwhile, the youth unemployment rate, measuring job-seekers between 15 and 24 years old, held steady at 3.1%, with the number of young unemployed falling by just 0.07 thousand to 13.40 thousand.
At the same time, reported job vacancies dropped by 2.3 thousand to 32.7 thousand.
On a seasonally adjusted basis, the jobless rate also stayed unchanged at 3.0% for the third month in a row.
