Swedish Household Lending Growth Unchanged at 1.6%

The annual growth rate of lending to Swedish households stood at 1.6% in December 2024, maintaining its highest level since May 2023.
Mortgages still accounted for 83% of the total lending to households, while consumption loans represented 6% and rose by 5% from a year earlier.
Meanwhile, the average interest rate on new mortgage agreements was 3.3% in December, with the average floating rate at 3.45%.
The annual growth rate for lending to non-financial corporations dropped by 0.8%, remaining in negative territory.
