Spain’s consumer confidence rose sharply in January 2026, with the headline indicator climbing 4.7 points to 80.5, recovering from December’s two-year low of 75.9.

Household expectations jumped 6 points to 86.5, their highest since May 2025, reflecting growing optimism about the near-term economic outlook.

Assessments of the current economic situation also improved, with the sub-index rising to a four-month high of 74.5.
