Slovenia Tourist Arrivals Rise 10.1% in May

Tourist arrivals in Slovenia rose by 10.1% year-on-year to 680.1 thousand in May 2026, the highest level since September 2025, following a 0.2% increase in April.
Foreign tourist arrivals climbed by 13.2% to 551.8 thousand, with visitors mainly coming from Germany (54.5%), Italy (15.5%), the US (26.8%), and the UK (32.9%), while arrivals from Austria fell by 0.4%.
Meanwhile, domestic tourism declined by 1.4% to 128.3 thousand.
Overnight stays increased by 10.8% to 1.590 million, with the highest numbers recorded in mountain resorts (26.0%), health resorts (2.6%), and seaside resorts (4.6%).
For the first five months of the year, total arrivals grew by 6.3% from a year earlier to 2.131 million.
