Slovakia Current Account Deficit Narrows in June

Slovakia's current account deficit narrowed to EUR 226.5 million in June 2026 from EUR 277.6 million in the corresponding month of the previous year.
The goods account surplus widened to EUR 135.3 million from EUR 126.9 million in June 2025, while the primary income shortfall narrowed to EUR 299.0 million from EUR 354.4 million.
In contrast, the services account surplus edged down to EUR 41.3 million from EUR 41.6 million, and the secondary income deficit widened to EUR 104.1 million from EUR 91.7 million.
In the first half of the year, the country's current account deficit totaled EUR 944.7 million, down from EUR 2,699.5 million in the corresponding period of 2025.
