Romania Jobless Rate Falls to 9-Month Low

Romania’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to 5.9% in October 2025, from a revised 6.1% in each of the previous two months.
This was the lowest jobless rate since January, as the number of unemployed persons decreased by 10.1 thousand from a month earlier to 487.3 thousand.
The jobless rates for men dropped to 6.0% from 6.3% in September, while that for women remained unchanged at 5.8%.
The youth unemployment rate, measuring job-seekers between 15 and 24 years old, inched down to 4.6% from 4.7% in the prior month.
